Curry Architects is always open to talking to talented and promising architects and interns.  However, we are extremely discerning and are only interested in hearing from individuals who are passionate about architecture, art and design.  We seek individuals who are interested in all aspects of practice, self motivated with excellent skills in design, illustration, construction technologies and communication.  As we are a small firm, everyone here at some time will be working at every level and phase of a project.  Also, our people enjoy running their own projects start to finish as well as pitching in and helping their colleagues with their projects from time to time.  It is imperative that you be comfortable in an atmosphere of collaboration, as well as being able to be independent.  Lastly, you have to have a good sense of humor and come to work ready to have fun!

 

Here are some things to remember if you are looking to join our firm:

 

1. We typically do not interview people from  outside of our geographical area.  We do not want to be     responsible for uprooting someone with the off chance of things not working out!

2. If you send a resume, make sure that it is well written, organized, presented well and conveys a sense of     who you are.  Make sure that you send some images of your original design work to peek our interest.  Tell     us why you are interested in architecture and what excites you about your work.

3. If we proceed to an interview, you MUST show us graphic, digital, photographic or otherwise images of     YOUR ORIGINAL work.  We are not interested in seeing a lot of work that you managed.  We are looking for     architects, not managers.  You need to be able to illustrate many levels of skill and be a stand out in at least     one area such as design, illustration, construction documentation and detailing etc.

4. If sending work via email, be careful of the overall file size.  Send just enough to let us know what you are     about and what you can do.  Save the rest for the interview!
